Playing conditions Changes confirmed for KFC BBL|09

Super Over Rules Modifications is approved for the big bash league season 09. A strategic timeout for the per match has also introduced. The next big bash league is coming with more rules and modifications that are confirmed just now.

There will be multiple super overs in the match. So there will be no tie in match. The primary purpose of super over is to determine which team is going to win the game at the end. The points will be split at the end of each match if there will be multiple super matches.

A match is usually tied in regular games when there are only single super over, and every team gets the points.

This change in the super over match will apply to all the matches as well as in the final match. Between the 7 and 13 overs, each inning from the batting side will get the opportunity to call time in these overs. There will be a break in play to take place after the over for 90 seconds period.

Alistair Dobson is the head of KFC Australian Cricket League; Big bash League said and commenting on the playing conditions changes confirmation for the upcoming season:

“After the ICC World Cup, the super over rules are already in discussion globally. It will be a more satisfying result for both the teams and fans. At least, with this decision, everyone is going to see the results for the Rebel Big Bash League.”

On the other hand, if we discuss Strategic time out, then it has been developed and is under discussion for a couple of years. There will be critical stakeholders in the match.

“We have already applied the strategic timeout rule in twenty-twenty matches all around the World. It will add more tactical dimensions to get the results. There will also a priority of maximizing the runs.”
